漢英同聲傳譯的時(shí)差控制與文體變化

通過(guò)分析我們不難發(fā)現(xiàn)，以上三者時(shí)差上的不一致造成了文體 風(fēng)格上的差別：譯法1與原語(yǔ)的信息組織順序十分貼近,但為了滿(mǎn)足 即席譯出通順的譯語(yǔ)而把正式的書(shū)面文體譯得十分口語(yǔ)化，是明顯 的釋義性口譯。譯法2則盡請(qǐng)靠近原語(yǔ)的文體風(fēng)格，同時(shí)又盡量不改變其信息組織的順序，是比較正式的口譯，因此文體上口語(yǔ)特色有 所減弱。譯法3的文體又有了更大的變化，變得非常正式,很像經(jīng)過(guò) 推敲的筆譯譯文。

其次，時(shí)差的不同也導(dǎo)致了不同的翻譯技巧：譯文1跟得很緊, 其切入時(shí)間是譯員聽(tīng)到第一個(gè)逗號(hào)所表示的聽(tīng)斷之前,所以就把“飽 經(jīng)滄桑的21世紀(jì)”,“僅剩下兒個(gè)春秋”以及后面的主句都分別譯成 了單獨(dú)的句子。譯文2的切人時(shí)間是在第一個(gè)逗號(hào)所表示的停頓之 后，所以使用了"and then”連接下文，譯出了一個(gè)并列句。如果譯文 3也是即興同傳，那么其切人時(shí)間應(yīng)該是在聽(tīng)完整句或接近句末的 位置，因此才有可能提出“mankind”做主語(yǔ)，把整句譯成較復(fù)雜的主 從句。同樣，在翻譯進(jìn)行到第二句時(shí)譯文1由于仍然步步緊跟，所以 用“It is... that. • • ”為下文提供一個(gè)便于操作的框架，用“In our time.. •，”翻譯“contemporary”，用名詞“commemoration”翻譯動(dòng)詞 “紀(jì)念”并重復(fù)使用這個(gè)詞。其中斷句技巧得到了充分的發(fā)揮，可以 體現(xiàn)一種果斷而靈活的風(fēng)格。譯文2由于沒(méi)有那么快地?cái)嗑?所以 使用了不同的手法：先根據(jù)語(yǔ)境(此次大會(huì)的主題)通過(guò)預(yù)測(cè)技巧譯

出“the 50th anniversary of the United Nations”，等聽(tīng)到下文“......

是很有意義的”后又根據(jù)這一新變化使用了“which”引導(dǎo)的從句這 樣的追加、補(bǔ)充技巧。至于第三種譯法，從其文句組織結(jié)構(gòu)上看，我們完全可以肯定，這是譯員事先已經(jīng)拿到的已經(jīng)成文的譯文。這種 譯文雖然可以根據(jù)會(huì)議以同聲傳譯的方式(根據(jù)講話(huà)人的語(yǔ)速和風(fēng) 格)讀出，但與一般人們想象的即席同聲傳譯完全是兩回事。因?yàn)椋?在即興同聲傳譯實(shí)踐中，如果譯員不是記憶力超凡，預(yù)測(cè)能力出眾， 心理索質(zhì)極佳的特殊天才，保持這么大的時(shí)差實(shí)在很難保證一直能

跟得上。萬(wàn)一出現(xiàn)一連串有關(guān)聯(lián)合國(guó)實(shí)績(jī)方面的具體統(tǒng)計(jì)數(shù)字、地 名、人名等特殊情況，也實(shí)在很難確保不出現(xiàn)疏漏。
